Mr. Shane Gottwals
Born and raised in Macon, GA, Shane Gottwals attended Central Fellowship Christian Academy from kindergarten until his high school graduation in 2002. He enrolled in Mercer University in Macon, GA that same year and earned a B.A. in English in 2006, spending a portion of his college years studying literature at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
Shane married his wife, Abbey, in the summer of 2006. After spending his entire adult life in retail work, he taught high school English at his alma mater from 2007 until the end of 2009. During that time, he and his wife started Gottwals Books, a used bookstore in Warner Robins. Today, the company has six locations and is franchising nationwide.
Currently, Shane works full-time with the bookstore, and Abbey is a homemaker with their two children, Millie and Jack. Shane’s days are filled with business and property management, but his true loves are at home. He enjoys chasing his children around the house, watching television at night with his wife, and traveling with his family.
